3️⃣ In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
4️⃣ Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until smooth and fluffy.
5️⃣ Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture—about 2 seconds per side—then layer them in a 9x9-inch dish.
6️⃣ Spread half of the mascarpone cream evenly over the ladyfinger layer.
7️⃣ Repeat the dipping and layering with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone cream.
8️⃣ Cover and chill in the fridge for at least 6 hours (overnight is best).
9️⃣ Before serving, dust the top generously with cocoa powder and garnish with dark chocolate shavings if desired.
