Halloween Rice Krispie Bites

Ingredients
  

Base:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 10 oz bag mini marshmallows (about 4 cups)
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Decorations:

  • Halloween sprinkles or nonpareils
  • Candy melts or white chocolate optional
  • Mini cupcake liners optional

Instructions
 

  • Melt Butter & Marshmallows: In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add marshmallows and stir constantly until melted and smooth.
  • Stir in Cereal: Remove from heat and quickly stir in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
  • Shape Bites: While still warm, use greased hands or a cookie scoop to form 1- to 1.5-inch balls. Place each one into a mini cupcake liner.
  • Decorate: Drizzle with melted candy melts or white chocolate, and immediately add Halloween sprinkles.
  • Set: Let cool at room temperature for 20–30 minutes until firm.

Notes

  • To avoid sticky hands, lightly grease your hands with butter or spray oil.
  • Add candy eyeballs for a “monster bite” look!
